JAKS Increasing "Public Value" of Information through Electronic Governance Models
There is no doubt that governments going online through websites has positive utilities. Yet it would be imprudent to state that maintaining an online government presence has significantly enhanced the flow of government information of "value" to the public. Thus the need to enhance the "Public Value" of information to understand the difference between information being provided and information of "value" to the public being provided by the governments.
There is no dispute that “Electronic Governance” is gradually entering the domain of public administration concepts and strategies in developing countries. (or, in what we term as the broader governance sphere.) In spite of the best intentions to make Electronic Governance work for people by providing them with easy access to governance products and services with which they can enhance their quality of lives, the end-results are often very different.
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
With a view to monitor the volatile movements of the stock exchange and allow investors to make sound and safe investments, the PMS builds an internet/intranet based scaleable platform to analyze and compare market movement of equities of companies, listed/unlisted on various stock exchanges. The analysis is essentially based on historical fundamental/technical data of these companies and it deploys data mining techniques to unearth patterns, trends hidden in this massive data. These analyses can help investors form short to long terms investment policies for maximizing returns and minimizing risk.
INFORMATION SYSTEM PLANNING
JAKS is providing a platform to the Government of Uttar Pradesh for formulation of a statewide policy and procedure for selection of services and vendors who could provide the requisite services for a variety of eGovernance projects. The job involves standardization of Front-end/ Back-end for application interfaces along with network topology and components involved.
FILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (FMS)
FMS performs the tasks of scanning for conversion of documents into encrypted electronic format, storing them in an N-level customizable file structure, Indexing with various user-defined attributes based on the indexing schema for document types, Archiving on CD media and retrieving the scanned documents on demand basis from the CD storage media through the criteria specified by the user based on the Indexed attributes. It’s features are: >Bilingual support. >Manages documents such as MS-Word, MS-Excel, HTML, ASCII files along with the scanned documents. >Facility to Send and Receive selected documents as auto-attachments through mail. >Image Enhancement Features such as Black/White border, Skew, Speckle removal. >Daily Scanned/Indexed Report and log maintenance.
COMPUTERIZATION OF MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS
JAKS's Municipal Corporation Computerization software facilitates the citizens and the Municipal Corporation to interact and function in a transparent manner. The software is a replicable and scalable application suite, which can be customized. It assists the Municipal Corporation in providing better Governance and increased revenue. The software is effective in matters related to property taxes, water billing, birth and death certificates, trade licenses, municipal accounts, citizen complaints and work management.
EMPLOYEE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT (EIM)
EIM empowers any organization to uphold integral information of an employee that can be of concern during the entire service tenure. It assists the apex management in preparing any report through swift software tools, thus supplying relevant details in a fraction of a second. This tamper proof system maintains information such as personal, recruitment, transfer & promotion, pay salary & disbursement, leaves record, training and departmental examination, reviews, retirement benefits, and so on. >Detailed information of employees compiled. >Generates formulas using Formula Builder. >Allowances and Deductions formulated as per the norms of the organization. >Records L.T.C details of employees. >Maintains Income tax related information. >Creation of new reports and receipts by the operator. >Provides a seniority list facility to enable proper operations during transfers and promotions.
SMART HOSPITAL (SH)
SH is one of the most promising applications of Information Technology (IT) in the Hospital world. JAKS’s SH deals with certain specific and important areas of a hospital like Clinic Management, Reception, OPD, Nursing Area, Admin etc. It also helps as a decision support system for the hospital authorities for developing comprehensive health care policies.
